The total tally of confirmed Coronavirus positive cases has surpassed 500,000 in almost a time- frame of three months. This has made it to be one of the most fatal diseases, followed by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV).

The feared Coronavirus pandemic has touched almost 199 countries and territories around the world along with one international conveyance, which was initially in news – The Diamond Princesses. This cruise ship is till date harboured in Yokohama, Japan. As per the latest records, the United States of America surpassed the epicentre country, China’s number on 27 March 2020. US has registered more than 85,000 confirmed Coronavirus cases, with a total number of deaths almost close to 1,500. To second is China with 81,340 cases. China though boomed with the number of deaths but is not under complete control. In the Central Europe region, Italy has become the epicentre of this outbreak registering maximum number of deaths in just a matter of 24 hours. Currently, Italy has registered more than 8,000 deaths, with more than 80,000 cases. Spain and Germany are also important countries stumbling over this fast-spreading virus. In the Middle East region, Iran is the worst affected country, registering almost 30,000 confirmed cases and is still counting. South Korea after China is the most affected in the Asian continent. South Korea has around 10,000 total cases with a controlled death rate of only 139. Malaysia, Japan, Pakistan and India are other important Asian countries trying overcome with this outbreak.
Despite the numbers soaring high every single day, many countries have put strict actions against violators violating guidelines issued by their respective government in order to control and combat this pandemic. Many countries have been put themselves on lockdown, urging all to stay indoors unless the need arises.
